8 months

Our little princess is 8 months old today! How time flies! I still can't believe it... But here is a quick update for you all... She got another tooth in on saturday. She'll probably be crawling in 2 weeks, before we get to Michigan. I think she had grown about 3 inches in the last couple weeks (okay - slight exaggeration, but seriously - I think it has to be at least an inch...) She still doesn't like to eat solid foods. I gave her some banana today thinking that she might like that better than the dry textured stuff, but she gagged over the banana too. Goofy girl. Well, that's all I can think of for now. I forgot to get pictures of her today while awake, so here are some of her sleeping.... :)

Miss Long Legs herself - all scooched up to the corner of the bed. I had to move the sensor for the monitor up to the top portion of the bed because she kept rolling herself up there and then the matress wasn't touching the monitor sensor and the dang alarm was going off 4 or 5 times a night! The good news - she's been sleeping through the night about 4 or 5 nights a weeks!!! :) *knock on wood*

The puppy and the frog are her two sleeping buddies. She loves them and usually has one in each arm (or one under her head and the other in her arm!)

Another tooth!

That darn second tooth FINALLY broke through today!!! Belle must be feeling much better! :)

Had a great girls day out today with KP, Amber and Kelly. Lunch, manicures and pedicures and some much needed chatting time at Amber's. What a great day! :)

Tomorrow Nick and I are going on a date! woohoo!!! We are getting our first official baby-sitter - KP. :) Just trying to give her a little practice before her little man arrives! :) Harry Potter movie and some desert tomorrow! Can't wait! :)

Stuff

We had a pretty good weekend here just relaxing. I hope you all did the same! Belle has taken up crying every time I walk out of the room which is just killing me, but we're working through it! The worst was tonight at bedtime. She fell asleep and I put her to bed and she woke up 30 minutes later crying. I gave her her paci back and her eyes went closed immediately and all was good. Until she saw (or heard?) me open the door... then it was complete meltdown. So I held her and rocked her until she fell back asleep and as soon as I put her down, she woke up and was screaming again... She really never does that, so I'm thinking another tooth is coming through (her gums have been pretty swollen for about a week) so we decided to give her some Tylenol. Then I had to rock her for another 30 minutes and finally she's out... I hope she gets some rest tonight. I was up about 8 times last night! That kicked my hiney! I am really getting used to this sleeping through the night thing! :)

Camera is up and running!

I finally got the power cord from my camera yesterday (came all the way from Hong Kong), so I'm back on a mission with photos!!!

First a funny story for you - Belle pooped on her teachers leg today!!! haha!!! Miss Denise said "Never fails! I have somewhere to go after work and SOMEBODY *looking at Belle* poops or pukes on me!" Haha!! That's my girl! :)

Well, it's been a while since I posted last, but I can't think of any new stories for you... Class reunion August 1st!!! Can't wait! :) And V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N August 14!!!!!!! Yeah baby!!!!

It's official!

We have a tooth!!! It broke through last night/this morning sometime. :) And she's still gnawing away at everything! :)

First time in the Pool

We went to the pool for the first time today. :) Belle LOVED the water! I suspected she would since she loves bath time so much! She is so much her Daddy's child - a little fish in the water! She never cried or fussed (until she was ready to be done). I thought she might since the water was a little chilly, but nope! Not our little girl! She just started bouncing right away in it! I even sat her down in the water and it was up to her chest and she just splashed! What a cutie pie! Then we put her in her little race car float toy and she loved it. We took her to the big pool instead of the wading pool and she loved it! She was kicking her little feet and floating around. Then we got kicked out of the big pool because you apparently can't have diapered babies in there... so, we went back to the little pool for a while and let her play a while more until she started fussing to let me know she was done!

Finally, a little video from right before she got fussy... she was spinning herself around in circles. :)

Oh yeah - I just wanted to tell you all that last night, I went to dinner with Julia and Belle and I got home around 9 and I got her to bed about 9:30. Well, she slept through the night AND slept in this morning - until 9:45!!!!!!! It was awesome!!! I was so rested when I got up today! :) I'm hoping for another one of those nights, but I put her down at 8 tonight, so maybe I'll at least get until 8 tomorrow morning! (One can hope!) :)

Pancakes

I gave Belle some pancakes today for the first time... It was her first solid food and I thought she would like them... I guess I was wrong! Here are a couple pictures and then a video... By the way, I tried honey nut cheerios later in the day and got the same result!Excited about this new food in here hands.
